Lorraine St. Affordable Housing Project

City Council has approved the development of a 40-unit affordable housing building on Lorraine St. which will support people and populations who are vulnerable.

Update - October 5, 2022

Nomodic Modular Structures Inc. is the successful proponent for construction of the Lorraine Street Affordable Housing project. The following are general construction timelines - these will be updated as the project advances:

  • Secure site by end of September 2022 (to prevent vehicles from parking on site).
  • Hold community engagement session to help inform development of site (i.e. landscaping, fencing, security, etc.) in fall of 2022.
  • Submit Site Plan to Planning Department for approval by end of 2022.
  • Begin site preparation in winter/spring 2023.

The community was invited to participate in a virtual public information session on November 18, 2021 - 6 to 8 p.m. This was an opportunity to provide residents in the neighbourhood with information on the project and answer questions they might have.
