  Before: Pinecrest Tot Lot has a variety of recreational opportunities with a Disc (Frisbee) Golf Course, a baseball diamond and a gazebo. An existing play structure and swing set were found to be in poor condition and in need of renewal in less than five years. These items have been removed.

  
  

  After: Residents told the City of Greater Sudbury they wanted a fitness focused playground design with structures that encourage climbing, swinging, agility and physical fitness. Most requested park amenities were shaded rest areas, gardens/flowers and benches.

  
  

  New playground structures feature an exciting variety of climbing, agility and balancing apparatus with an accessible feature. A new swing set is suitable for both tots and older children.

  
  

  An overview of the renewed Pinecrest Tot Lot shows the approximate placement of new play equipment, shaded rest areas and a bicycle rack. It does not show existing structures that do not require renewal and will remain in the playground. Installation of new play structures, including a new ground surface of engineered wood fibre, is scheduled for the spring 2019.
