2027 Budget Consultation
Tell Us What Matters Most to You
You live, work, learn, play and do business in Greater Sudbury. Now is your chance to help shape your community by sharing your priorities.
Each year, the budget outlines how tax dollars are invested in the services, programs and infrastructure that support daily life in our community. From roads and transit to parks, recreation and emergency services, your input helps identify community priorities as decisions are made for the year ahead.
The 2027 budget comes with a change in how we engage the community. This year we are gathering community feedback early — before the budget is developed — to help inform services, investments and long‑term planning from the beginning.
Why Your Feedback Matters
Municipal budgets involve balancing many needs across the community. By sharing your perspectives, you help identify:
What services and investments matter most
Where you see opportunities for improvement
How the City can balance services, investments and costs
Curious where your tax dollars go?
Explore our online tool to see how your taxes are distributed across services like roads, parks, emergency response, transit and more. Then weigh in on which areas matter most to you and help shape future decisions.
Community Priorities: Resident and Business Surveys
Both a resident survey and a business survey have been created to ensure everyone in the community has a voice. By hearing from the people who live here as well as those who operate local businesses, we can better understand what matters most, where needs overlap and where they differ. This helps Council guide priorities and decisions that reflect the full community.
