Immigration 101: Pathways to retaining and recruiting

The City of Greater Sudbury invites you to attend one of the upcoming Immigration 101 sessions to learn about pathways available to help your organization recruit and retain qualified international and francophone workers, beyond the RCIP and FCIP programs.

Sessions are open to hiring managers in Greater Sudbury and surrounding communities, including Estaire, French River, St.-Charles, Noëlville, Markstay-Warren, Killarney, and Gogama.

Immigration 101 – Evening Session


Date: Monday, October 20, 2025

Time: 6 to 8 p.m.


Attendees will hear from representatives of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) about the various pathways and opportunities available to help employers recruit and retain qualified international workers.

Following the presentations, there will be a formal Q&A period, along with opportunities for one-on-one conversations with IRCC and OINP representatives


Immigration 101 – Morning Session


Date: Tuesday, October 21, 2025

Time: 8 to 10:30 a.m.


Attendees will hear from representatives of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), and the Société économique de l’Ontario (SÉO) about the various pathways and opportunities available to help employers recruit and retain qualified international and francophone workers.

Following the presentations, there will be a formal Q&A period, along with opportunities for one-on-one conversations with IRCC, OINP, and SÉO representatives.
