Labour Force Survey Results - September 2026

The September 2026 Greater Sudbury Labour Force Survey results are in!
Here’s a quick snapshot of what’s happening in our local labour market:

Labour force: 107,900 (the number of adults either working or actively looking for work).

Unemployment rate: 6.0%. The unemployment rate in Ontario is 6.9% and Canada is 6.5%.

Employment: 101,400 (including employees and self‑employed), up from 100,900 in August.
