Energy Court Warming Centre

The City of Greater Sudbury approved the repurposing of the trailer at 24 Energy Court, previously the Supervised Consumption Site, to be used as an overnight warming centre for persons experiencing unsheltered homelessness this winter.

The warming centre will be operated by the Go-Give Project and will be open from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., every night between November 25, 2024 and April 30, 2025. The centre will offer a warm, safe place for people to visit, chairs, washrooms, drinks and snacks as well as support and connection to housing-focused services for up to 50 people at a time.

The warming centre is part of a larger system of services, funded through the City, which can be found at www.greatersudbury.ca/live/homelessness-initiatives/.
