Open House and Brainstorming Etiquette

  • Be respectful and courteous to all participants and facilitators in the session.
  • Be mindful of whether or not you are dominating the conversation(s) - we want everyone to have an opportunity to share.
  • One conversation at a time; use the “hand-up” feature and wait for the facilitator to invite you to speak.
  • Defer judgement. Creative spaces are judgement-free zones; they let ideas flow so people can build from each other’s ideas.
  • Stay focused on the topic.
  • Please speak clearly at a slower pace for participants using Closed Captioning.
  • Please mute when you are not speaking.
  • Video use is not required, and only if you are comfortable. Please ensure appropriate background and attire.
