I often use the Maley extension I love it! I live in the south end and it saves so much time eliminating so many stop lights on Lasalle or the Kingsway. I would love to see it extended all the way to Hwy 17/Kingsway.

How did the City of Sudbury get to build a highway from West Bound Maley to MR80 North Bound with no actual Merge Lanes even though it operates at 80-90km/h The only thing we have is an Entrance Lane with no Merge section to match speeds with and not only that, it enters into another Lane that also does not have any Merge section either and ends the same way immediately on entrance to it. Both of the Lane Entrances end with you off the road if you can't get in and this all has to happen at highway speeds. South Bound is the same except you only have to risk you life once as the three lanes continue on southward under the bridge. Rush hour entrance onto MR80 North Bound from Maley is a death trap just waiting to happen, it should never have been allowed to be built in this manner. In all my Travels in this country I have never seen new highways built with no Merge sections at Highway Speeds using Lane Entrances only. Only in Sudbury could this happen.

Please consider all future infrastructure projects to support active transport and more public transit. We must no longer encroach on wetlands and forests for such projects as seen with Maley drive extension. Utilize and enhance existing infrastructure.

You should not be extending Montrose Avenue to Maley Drive.

Thanks for your question, erincg1.. There is a 300 metre noise mitigation berm being constructed north of Agincourt Avenue. Seedlings will be planted along the toe of that slope. The work is scheduled for this year. Seedlings are also being planted north of the proposed Montrose Extension.

Tree planting by Steven Monet's team was discussed by the City at a few of the public meetings for the area behind Agincourt as many construction vehicles created a road for access (clearing existing trees in their path) and for noise mitigation measures. Will this be completed in 2019?

So now we have another road to maintain. Wonder what that annual cost will be. I truly believe the funding recieved would have been better spent to upgrade roads we already have. I also have an issue with the overpass on regional road 80. I went under there in a heavy rainfall and the water was pouring in a river between the two parts, which totally blinded me, even though my wipers were on full. Surely some method of water diversion could have been used .
