Municipal playground revitalization continues in 2025, with work focusing on previously selected sites. These improvements are part of a replacement/renewal partnership between the City of Greater Sudbury and FedNor Canada (Community Revitalization Fund).
Projects underway this year include:
Daniel Tot Lot (3173 Daniel Ave., Val Caron)
VLA Playground (26 O’Neil St., Lively)
Levack site *specific site to be determined
These sites have been identified based on previous prioritization scoring and updated condition assessments.
A neighbourhood open house will be held at these locations. This is an opportunity to learn more about the playground projects and ask questions related to the sites:
Monday, June 9 – 4 to 7 p.m. Daniel Tot Lot 3173 Daniel Ave., Val Caron (In case of rain, session will be held in Raymond Plourde Arena lobby.)
Monday, June 16 – 4 to 7 p.m. I.J. Coady Memorial Arena 13 Second Ave. North, Levack (playground revitalization site to be determined)
Thursday June 19 – 4 to 7 p.m. VLA Playground – VLA Playground fieldhouse, 26 O'Neil St., Lively
Residents are also encouraged to complete a survey below by June 30, 2025. You can also call 311 to complete the survey.
